Hotel Del Luna

Because of Scarlet Heart Ryeo, I was able to search Hotel Del Luna through its main cast korean superstar IU. Another fantasy story that links the past and the present with kilig scenes. 

A story about Hotel where souls stay before they finally leave this place and go to heaven but some turned into ashes if they become a vengeful soul, IU aka Ms Jang / Man Weol a 1,300 years old from the past was cursed for immortality until he finds a man who changes her fate. A highly recommended drama, with so much mindfulness and reflection. It hits me just like Scarlet Heart Ryeo. If I will live for 1,300 years, will I able to spend more time with my special someone or can I find someone who will spend more time with me, will I able to forget and find new one or stay loyal?

I hope for immortality and live a millenium just like Man Weol, but everytime I think of it it means that I will see the people I love die one by one and the process will continue. Now, I understand why our life has an end, because it just the way of life. Time flows, new life forms, each has its own ending. When my Mom dies in 2017 and got severe illness in 2021, I no longer dream of big things I just want to live the dream that I have dream before for as long as my life is stable, I eat in fancy restaurant and spend the rest with my family. As long as I have time for myself, that's the peace of mind that bring me happiness.

Going back to Hotel Del Luna, I believe that we will all become souls one day. Our physical body will die, and we will become souls - I don't know what will happen next but in Hotel Del Luna souls will have the choice to leave the Earth and go to Heaven or stay on earth for the meantime and finish any unfinished business. Once they have chosen to leave Hotel del Luna they will ride a Limousine or bus going to heaven - heaven means crossing Sanzu river as you cross the river your memories will vanish one by one until the end of the bridge then you'll get reincarnation (maybe into humans, pig or alitaptap). Once you are reincarnated, memories of your past life will be erased - you wont remember any. For those who have chosen to stay on earth for the meantime, Hotel Del Luna have different rooms to experience the life they want to. For example a hotel room where they can experience beach, winter or library. They can also avail special service on the hotel like appearing on the dreams of their love ones but with a great price like in exchange for money to Man Weol. The money from the dead person is used for the hotel and luxury of the 1,300 years old general manager. She used the money for fancy things and to experience the best for living for 1,300, ofcourse with pain inside. With her 1,300 years, her fashion from Gogoryeo to present time evolved, since she has nothing to do except to guide souls on her hotel. She needs one living person as a Manager in the present time, inorder to pay the taxes and business registration of the hotel as ghost cannot do it. I like Korean-Chinese history, very rich in culture and story. Now i got curious once again to gogoryeo, to the Song dynasty, to King Tae Jo, etc.  

The process of our life, time and existence where no one really knows how it begun and how it will end. I just wish that I was able to reach a long life here on earth and reunite with my family when we become souls. After we become souls, I hope that's the forever. I hope its not like Hotel del Luna where our memories will vanish once we crossed Sanzu River. Anyway, nobody knows what will happen when we die. As long as I am living, I will choose to be happy. I no longer want to overthink i just want to go with the flow and have Peace Of Mind.

Hotel Del Luna - The Ending. "Painful" because Letting Go is part of our Life. We don't know if we will meet again. So as long as we are living, we just need to entertain ourselves until we meet the grim reaper. Choose to be happy and choose to stay with your love ones or love once.
